It’s February… the month of looooove! So I’m giving you my favourite places in Manchester to take your date, so you can really wow them this Valentine’s Day.
Whether it’s the first time you’ve met them or a special anniversary, Manchester has so many things to do if you’re a hopeless romantic or are just looking for something different. And here’s my top five places I think are great to take your date!
1) TRAFFORD CENTRE
One of the best places to take your date in Manchester is the Trafford Centre. Although this is just out of the centre, it has everything you need. Shops… restaurants… arcades… bowling… the cinema… it even has laser quest! You could spend the whole day here and feel like you’ve been to about five different places. Plus, it’s absolutely beautiful – just like your date!
If you’re not one for sitting chatting over a candle lit dinner, but also don’t like complete silence at the cinema, bowling just might be the perfect date idea for you. Think it’s a kids game? At All Star Lanes, bowling is strictly an adults game – with a bar and restaurant waiting to add fun to the game. There’s also bowling pins which celebrities have signed – including Rihanna and Lady Gaga. So why don’t you take the shining star of your life here too?
Looking to push the boat out this Valentine’s Day? Great! Take them to 20 Stories Manchester, the highest bar in the town. This beautiful bar and restuarant opened last year and has been talked about ever since, thanks to its gorgeous aesthetic and spectacular views. It’s very picturesque, so your date might be tempted to show you off all over Instagram! Win, win!
Like All Star Lanes, here’s somewhere you can break the ice and have a laugh. It’s Junkyard Golf – a mini-golf experience with an adult twist. You go around these really funky courses with bars along the way! It’s super fun and a great way to show your personality whilst still being able to chat and get to know each other.
If you’re looking for something more peaceful than all the fun and games, a nice walk would be perfect. There’s loads of great walks in and around Manchester, but if you’re looking for somewhere still in the city centre then Salford Quays/ Media City has everything you need. With great tram links and shops and restaurant close by if you get hungry with all the walking, you can take in the great views whilst getting the know each other really well. So romantic!
