Review: Wake Skincare #gifted

As a psoriasis sufferer, a good skincare routine is vital. I need products that’ll help my skin feel hydrated, fresh and moisturised – so when Wake Skincare emailed me to see if I would like to try their products, I jumped at the chance.

WAKE SKINCARE:

Wake Skincare creates products for what they call, the ‘generation connected’ – those of us who are constantly glued to our phones, then complain about the dark circles that come with our busy and stressful lives. With this in mind, they set out to design all natural products that aren’t tested on animals, come with less plastic packaging, and make your skin feel brand new.

They were kind enough to send me two products – the eye gel, retailing for £16.95, and the Eye Wake moisturising cream costing £12.95. I’ve been using them for a week now, and thought I would share with you my thoughts on these products.

~ EYE WAKE: INSTANT EFFECTIVE FACE CREAM

The Eye Wake Face Cream was the first product I saw when I opened my package from Wake Skin Care. Unfortunately, I found the packaging on the product boring, and could definitely be improved. But let’s not judge a moisturiser based on the cardboard it comes in, right? The actual product itself comes in a glass pot, which I like very much. And the actual moisturiser? I only have nice things to say about it. This smooth, creamy and light moisturiser applies and sinks into the skin so effortlessly. It’s non-fragranced, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight like a lot of moisturisers do to my face. I’ve been using it for a week, and every day my skin feels so fresh and clean. I’ve also noticed the tone of my skin to be improved, it’s much less red and blotchy!

  • All in all, I 100% recommend this as a moisturises for someone who has sensitive or red and blotchy skin.

~ HYDRATING EYE GEL

The second product was the hydrating eye serum, which came in packaging I much preferred. It has exciting and refreshing colours on it, which matches the mission of their products. The little bottle in comes in is very cute too and simply says the word ‘Wake’ on it with black writing. I’ve never used an eye cream before, so I unfortunately can’t compare it to anything else. All I do know is that, each morning I wake up, my eyes are really puffy. Since using this product the puffiness has dramatically decreased. I haven’t been able to see a difference in dark circles, but I luckily don’t suffer so bad with that.

  • I like this product a lot because I feel like it has really made my face look fresher in the mornings. And although it’s a small bottle, you only need such a small bit of it for you to start seeing the difference! Great product.

Before Wake Skincare contacted me, I had never heard of them. But having researched them and their products, I’ve grown quite fond of their brand. They never test on animals, their products are all made from natural and trusted sources, and a percentage of the money made from their products go to the charity Woman’s Aid. It’s little things like that – as well as having great products that make your skin feel great – that make customers choose that brand time and again.

Thank you Wake Skincare for gifting and introducing me to your products – my skin has never felt so good!
