This year marks the first Christmas in my own apartment, and that means I’ve got my very own Christmas tree!
Ever since I moved to my own place in August, I’ve thought about the Christmas tree and decorations. Some of my favourite memories are putting up the tree with my Mum – it’s the first time we turn up the cheesy Christmas music and always end up annoying my dad haha. It’s almost the official start to the festive season in the Stoker household!
And this year it’s even more special, because I get to put up my own tree and then go to my Mum and Dad’s and do it all over again!
DECK THE APARTMENT WITH RED
The theme in my flat is red – it’s my favourite colour, and just so happens to be the colour is Christmas! Thanks Coca Cola! So in true Stoker style, my Christmas decorations just had to match. But first, I need a tree.
Thankfully, my very kind sister-in-law gave me her old one, which is beautiful and fits perfect in my living room! All I needed to do was get some baubles, beads and other cute decorations. I went to Asda because their Christmas items are cheap and nice, so I chose red baubles, and silver beads, snowflakes and a star. They’re all glittery, but you can’t have too much glitter at Christmas!
I also bought some tinsel and mistletoe and placed it around the flat to add more festive cheer. Oh, and not forgetting the little Santa had on the side of the telly!
It seems the red theme runs in the family, because my mum and dad have the same theme going on at their house! They have a lot more cute decorations than I do, so I couldn’t write a blog post without showing you them!
How cute is the little reindeer? He’s from Manchester Christmas markets and called Bernard!
So that’s our Christmas decorations from this year! Have you put up yours yet? I’d love to see them. Leave me a comment or a link to your social media!
