There’s something about winter that makes a hot chocolate taste so much better. Whether it’s the cream and extra marshmallows or the way they keep your hands warm in the cold, nothing beats a creamy, delicious hot chocolate. And here’s how you can make your own!
Pick an instant hot chocolate of your choice. I’m a big fan of Cadburys, Malteasers, and Galaxy – but any works fine. I normally make it with hot milk in the microwave for even more creaminess.
This is where the good stuff starts. Once the hot chocolate is made, you can either add some Bailey’s for an alcohol or without – both taste great!
Then, get some instant whipped cream and spray it all over the top. Now, you can make it however you want. At Christmas, I like to add Christmas themed sprinkles and shake them all over the cream.
Add some chocolate of your choice – I like a Flake or a Twirl to stick in the cream, but any does the job. Oh, and don’t forget the marshmallows!
Put it all together, and you’re left with a very chocolatey, very creamy, delicious hot chocolate. They’re great as a dessert, and to have when watching a Christmas film with friends or when everyone is round Christmas Day evening!
Give it a go! You can also add in candy canes to make it even more Christmassy. It’s all up to you. Be sure to send me pictures of your finished hot chocolates in the comments!
