This was one of my Christmas presents this year, and I’m very grateful for it. This big book is set out into the months of the year with different sections on what you want to achieve. It also has a calendar which you can fill out to write down all the blog posts you want to publish and the different content ideas you want to create.
The only down side to it is it’s really big so it would be hard to fit in my bag, and a lot of it isn’t relevant to me and more editorial work. But overall it’s a great book to keep me organised, and I can’t wait to keep using it through the year.
MY OWN NOTEBOOKS:
I have two notebooks I really use… but like I said I am a stationary geek and have loads of spare ones lying around.
The first one I use is for scribbles and notes and doesn’t really have a cohesive layout or theme, but to me it makes perfect sense. The other one is my little red Moleskine notebook which I keep in my bag at all times in case I get an idea while on the move. Although, I do sometimes just write them on my phone if I need to be really quick!
As well as my own ideas, I like to see what other people are writing, because it motivates me to get organised and so the same. I normally go through Instagram, Twitter and WordPress and follow different blogs that I like and take inspiration from there.
This year, I’m also doing a lot more reading. I have got books on both marketing and phone photography, but as I’m sure you know too… being a blogger is about seven jobs in one. You have to be a writer, photographer and market yourself all at the same time, not forgetting thinking of content day in day out.
So hopefully with these different tools, I can keep my blog organised in 2019. After all, the key to success is consistency and always remember practice makes perfect.
