To feel extra Christmassy, I like to bake and decorate cookies while watching my favourite Christmas films. But unfortunately, I’m not a very good baker. So when i saw Asda’s ‘Ornament Cookie Set’, it meant the hard part was done, and the fun part was for me to enjoy!
It’s exactly two weeks before Christmas Day… the tree lights are on, and Love Actually is on in the background. It’s time to decorate the Christmas ginger cookies!
The pack from Asda contained 8 cookies in the shape of Santa, a snowman, a christmassy gingerbread man, and a Christmas tree. There was also two tubes of white icing, and the cutest sprinkle decorations I had ever seen. They were little candy canes, snowflakes, and even gingerbread men! It also came with a ribbon, which you can use to hang your cookies onto your Christmas tree!
I love doing these because it’s such a great way to get into the festive spirit, and a great activity to do with the family and your loved ones. Plus, you get a delicious treat after you’ve finished!
Here’s the finished product:
I’m going to do these again on Christmas Eve to give them to my family on Christmas Day! The set was really cheap too, only about £3 – so it’s well worth it!
Have you made any Christmas themed gingerbread? Or do you have any family activities you do every year? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to hear about them!
